Kristin Trowbridge

Born and raised right here in San Antonio, Kristin earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2014. As a former collegiate athlete, Kristin knows how much hard work and dedication it takes to excel both on and off the field. She has spent a majority of her nursing career at Foundation Surgical Hospital where she specialized in caring for patients during their operation. She has additional experience in the ICU and post-anesthesia care unit. She decided to continue her education and received her Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Texas at Arlington and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Kristin met the love of her life, Dr. Mark Bowland, while working in the operating room. Together they welcomed her first born son, Graham, in the Spring of 2022. They love staying active by going on hikes, swimming, bike rides and long walks. Kristin has a passion for cooking and loves to share healthy recipes.
Kristin believes consistent healthy habits and a positive mindset are the cornerstones to success. She takes special interest in the science of sleep and works hard to optimize and prioritize quality sleep for all her patients.

Janneth Garcia

Janneth is a highly experienced medical assistant with an extensive career spanning 22 years. Following a well-deserved 10-year hiatus dedicated to raising her three children, she made a deliberate and resolute decision to reenter the workforce. Having previously collaborated with Dr. Jenny, she found her professional fulfillment exclusively within this esteemed medical setting.
Janneth acknowledges the profound privilege of actively participating in the remarkable journeys undertaken by the patients she serves. The realization that their victories directly contribute to the collective success of the medical team further underscores the significance of her role. She expresses profound gratitude for the opportunity to be an integral part of this exceptional community, where she can diligently collaborate with her colleagues to facilitate the attainment of patient goals.

Katie Lightfield, MS, RD, LD

Embarking on a weight-loss journey is a very personal decision, and Katie recognizes that every patient is unique. She will partner with each individual to develop a customized nutrition plan with goals that are not only achievable, but will result in positive habits that will last a lifetime. Katie is passionate in her belief that food deprivation is the enemy of a healthy lifestyle; and will help her patients incorporate small changes in diet and exercise that will help them feel satisfied and in control of their destiny.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Katie attended the University of Houston, obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science in 2014. In 2020 she completed her Master’s degree in Human Nutrition at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. During this time, she also completed a comprehensive Dietetic Internship through Texas State University, gaining experience in community, foodservice, and clinical nutrition. She is always seeking new educational opportunities to enhance her ability to serve her patients, and plans to obtain her Obesity and Weight Management certification. Katie is passionate about helping others and looks forward to building long-term relationships with her patients, celebrating each milestone on this journey to a healthier lifestyle.

Natasha Klavon, MA, LPC

Natasha Klavon, Licensed Professional Counselor, is your Behavioral Health Specialist and Health Coach here at BMI of Texas. Focusing on total health and sustainability is her mission. With 14 years of experience, she can help you integrate mindful behaviors, eating habits, and coping skills to promote success for a healthier future. Through use of cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused strategies, Natasha strives to help you find the most authentic and healthy version of you. Together, you will explore core beliefs, habits, and behaviors to identify areas of need and create goals to improve upon them. Natasha values the importance of the integration of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.
Born and raised in Michigan, Natasha attended Michigan State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2007 and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University in 2010. Her passion for healthcare and human behavior lead Natasha to the Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care certificate program at the University of Michigan, which she completed in 2014. Throughout her career, she has spent her time devoted to public health in primary care, hospital, school, and community mental health systems. She looks forward to meeting with you and helping you find peace, health, and happiness.

Clarissa Marie Flores, RD, LD

Clarissa is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. Born and raised in Edinburg, Texas, Clarissa earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Texas at Austin in 2020. She then attended the University of the Incarnate Word where she completed a comprehensive Dietetic Internship, gaining experience in food service, community, and clinical nutrition with a concentration in diversity of nutrition care. Clarissa’s studies and experience have only solidified her passion for helping others through food and nutrition.
Clarissa will work with you to develop a personalized plan to help you restore your eating confidence. Your sessions together are designed to help educate, guide, and inspire you, so that you have the knowledge and tools to feel like your best self. Clarissa believes being healthy is more than just the foods we eat; it also relies on a healthy attitude towards nutrition and an appreciation of how the human body functions. Offering evidence-based recommendations and supportive counseling she aims to provide an experienced based and research-supported take on bariatric nutrition. She recognizes everyone’s weight loss journey is unique and looks forward to working together to achieve a sustainable healthy lifestyle. When Clarissa is not working with her patients, she develops and tests tasty, whole food recipes for fun.

Mariah Cantu

Mariah Cantu is Dr. Jenny’s New Patient Coordinator. She is the first point of contact for prospective patients looking to begin their weight loss journey with Dr. Jenny. As the New Patient Coordinator, Mariah plays an essential role in helping patients take their first steps toward a healthier lifestyle. In addition to patient onboarding, Mariah helps provide information about Dr. Jenny’s program and is here to ensure each new patient is on the right track to reach their weight loss goals. Mariah approaches her role with immense compassion and empathy. She understands the challenges that individuals may face when begining their path towards improved health, and often encourages patients to put themselves first when it comes to embarking on their wellness journey.
Mariah was born and raised in San Antonio and loves the hospitality and kindness of the city. She received her Associate Degree in Business at Northwest Vista College. Mariah previously worked in the legal field but now finds her position with Dr. Jenny to be incredibly rewarding as she is helping people change their lives.
In her free time, Mariah is a dedicated sports mom: proudly cheering on her children at every single game. She also enjoys crafting, including sewing and hand embroidery.

BRAYLON MONEY

Braylon Money joined Dr. Jenny Seger’s team as a Medical Assistant in 2024. Braylon was born in San Antonio, but with a mom in the military, he’s lived in many places across the continental US.

Braylon chose to return to San Antonio and loves the diverse cultures of the city. Braylon attended Judson High School in Converse and is currently working towards his undergraduate degree at Northeast Lakeview in Biology and Pre-Nursing. Braylon works closely with patients at Dr. Jenny’s Wellness and Weight Management practice. He is often the first to greet patients as they arrive for their appointments and is responsible for drawing blood, taking vitals, and scheduling appointments.

Braylon feels at home as a member of Dr. Jenny’s team and even though he is new to the practice, he’s been greeted with warmth and support since the start. Braylon has been interested in pursuing a career in healthcare since graduating high school and joining Dr. Jenny’s practice has been a significant milestone in his professional journey.

Braylon’s kind and confident personality make him an invaluable addition to the team and an integral part of patients’ wellness and weight management journeys with Dr. Jenny Seger.

Outside of work, Braylon is a Track and Field athlete and is the sound engineer for his church.
